CATCO Kids presents The Neverending Story
December 7 – 16, $5 for both children and adults. To purchase tickets:Call: 614-469-0939;  39 East State Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215
I loved this fantastical movie as a child, and now it is brought to life! Adorable child actors make this a fun show to see for children, and tickets are very reasonable for a live theater production. The story is about a young boy who steals a book and then goes on a journey to save a magical land called Fantastica. Full of magical creatures and adventure.

Dickens of a Christmas
Ohio Village, I-71 & 17th Avenue, Columbus
Dec. 9, 10, 16, 17 and 18, 2011, Friday and Saturday 6–9 p.m. Sunday noon–5 p.m.

Follow the Ghost of Christmas Past to Ohio Village this holiday season and experience the sights and sounds of a Victorian Christmas inspired by the colorful tales of Charles Dickens. Lots of fun activities for the whole family! Enter through the Ohio Village entrance, which is to the right of the Ohio Historical Society Museum if you are looking from I-71. They will have chestnuts on the open fire and hot drinks. It might be cold the day you go, plan accordingly. Admission to Dickens of a Christmas at Ohio Village is $12/adults, $9/youth (6-12), $10/Ohio Historical Society adult members and $7/Ohio Historical Society youth members (6-12). Parking is free .

Giants Beware book signing event at Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream in Clintonville
Looking for an awesome local gift that will keep on giving? Give a child a book…and Giants Beware is an awesome graphic novel illustrated by Columbus local artist Rafael Rosado. The Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream shop in Clintonville will be hosting a book signing event that will be fun for the entire family.

Monday, December 17
5:00 p.m. Book signing by Rafael Rosado begins
6:00 p.m. Theatrical reading with ice cream scoop and hot cocoa  A portion of the book will be displayed on a projection screen and acted out. Great fun for the kiddies. Book signing after event as well.

Nativity Scene at State Auto
Don’t forget the Nativity Scene at the State Auto Building downtown. Patrons can walk through the scene any time or attend a free choir performance on weekends during the month of December. Bundle up and take some hot cocoa with you if you decide to go for a concert. I’d also bring chairs to sit upon or maybe a blanket, but the ground will be cold!
