Disney on Ice Presents Treasure Trove…Help Families in Need and Earn a Free Ticket!

Disney on Ice is ba-ack! My girl is so excited. We’ve gone for a number of years, and the shows have always been larger than life and full of fave Disney characters. The first time I took my daughter she was three, and the show held her attention the entire time. I’m certain this year will be the same. The theme is “Disney on Ice presents Treasure Trove” where Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Donald embark on a treasure hunt through many of your favorite Disney movies. Performances run from Wednesday, February 20 – Sunday, February 24.

BUT before you run to the box office, let me help you save some cash and also offer you an additional gift from COSI. All you need to do is donate a package of unopened disposable diapers to the YWCA Family Center on Saturday, January 19, 2013 from 10 a.m. to noon at COSI. Here’s the skinny from the source:

“Families who bring an unopened package of disposable diapers (the YWCA Family Center is especially in need of pull-up diapers in size 4, 5 and 6) to COSI during this time will receive a free ticket voucher good for either the Wednesday, Feb. 20 or Thursday, Feb. 21 performance of Disney On Ice presents Treasure Trove performance at Nationwide Arena. There will be a limit of 500 ticket vouchers available – and a limit of two ticket vouchers per donating family. COSI will also issue a choice of $5.00 off general admission coupon or a free Extreme Screen movie ticket for each package of diapers donated (limit four coupons per donating family).”

In 2012, the YWCA Family Center served 1,119 Columbus families, including 2,162 children, providing employment assistance, childcare, tutoring and other support services. Yeah, they pretty much rock!

Please note: when parking the night of the show there is a charge for parking in the Arena district lots, which I believe is anywhere from $5 – $10. Also, be prepared for children begging for souvenirs…and they aren’t cheap. Think about what you are willing to spend at the show to help you stay on a budget for the evening. One year my girl begged me for a Tinker Bell cup with an icee in it. $15 later she had a blue tongue. Yes, pricey for an icee. Just giving you a heads up. And, one more thing, the kids like to dress up. Girls like to wear their princess costumes and boys wear anything from Mickey ears to pirate gear. All in good fun, and the kids seem to love the show. It is pretty darn cute to see the kiddies’ faces light up when the characters come on to the ice.

Tickets for Treasure Trove are available at the Nationwide Arena box office, at all Ticketmaster locations, select Kroger stores, online at www.ticketmaster.com or by calling 1.800.745.3000. (All tickets are subject to service charges and facility fees.) Ticket prices range for $13 to $48.

Thank you to Irvin PR  for this ticket information to share with my readers and for the family of four tickets to the show.

My daughter and I have caught this show often throughout the years. It comes to Columbus every February and that is her birthday month. We both love it!
