Lazer Kraze in Lewis Center, OH

I had NO idea the fun I would have a Lazer Kraze! My boy chose to have his 7th birthday party there. I didn’t know what to expect and had never been for many reasons, the main being I thought it would be so crowded it would be more stressful than fun. I was wrong. Lazer Kraze is located off of 23 N in the same plaza as Sky Zone.

Let me begin – this place was not what I expected. Lazer Kraze had lots of video games for kiddos who don’t want to play laser tag (complete with tickets to get those cheap trinkets), there was a room with inflatable bounce houses, and then a two-floor battlefield where kids can play capture the flag. The people who work there assign the red/blue teams. You go into a room and there are vests and your gun. The guns have names, so you have to remember your name so you get your results from the game. I was Darth.

They offer open play times too, but I had booked a party. I called about a month in advance and had no problem getting the time I wanted. Parties have different packages, generally starting with 10 guests. Each additional guest was $16. Adults can play too, which made it even more fun for kiddos who had a little fear going into a dark place. They offer your own private room for the celebration where kids can eat pizza, cake, and open presents.

They provided the drinks and tokens for the games (which are an additional cost, fyi). I brought the cupcakes, and if I had wanted ice cream I would have had to order it there. They have rules about food. I think they even offer rentals for outdoor battles during warmer months. That might be on my list for this summer…watch out kiddos, I am a beast!

If you are looking for a good time during these cold months, or even a break from the heat this summer, go and play a little laser tag. It is fun!

Tips:

  • If your child is afraid of the dark, they may need you to go with them into the battlefield. I had a kiddo who went in and promptly said, “noway.”
  • Be prepared with extra cash for tokens to play video games.
  • If booking a party, call at least a month in advance (remember, you need to get the time and send out invites).
  • They pretty much do everything, so all you have to bring are the sweets.
  • I would suggest this for kiddos at least 5 or 6 and up. The game is fast and older kids will not be looking out for little ones on the battlefield.
  • Adults can watch the game if they are with a baby or are not playing. There are also places to sit and wait.
  • Aldi, Meijer and other stores are close by, so if your child is invited to a party get your groceries!
