Have you heard of Green Bean Delivery? It is a service that delivers fresh organic vegetables and other grocery items to your doorstep. I tried it out and really liked it. The service is easy to use and dependable.
The first thing you do it sign up on their site. Bins are available for delivery weekly and bi-weekly, and will be delivered on a specific day depending on where you live. For instance, my bin day was Wednesday and it was delivered around 5 p.m. Bins can be customized depending on what fruit and veggies you like and what is in season. The fruit and veggies are from local farmers and organic. Prices are a bit more than you’d find at the grocery because they are organic and locally sourced…and delivered to your doorstep.
My thoughts are this is a perfect gift to give someone who had a baby, is sick, or lives a pretty good distance away from a grocery store that offers organic or local produce. It would be great for someone who travels for work or has multiple children (uhm…going to the grocery store with young children should 
have its own place in purgatory).
Down to the food. The fruits and veggies I received were fresh and delicious. I was impressed with the quality and ripeness of everything in my bin. The bin had a cold pack, so if you aren’t home your food doesn’t sit in a hot bin wilting away. Also, my kids loved opening up the bin to see what what was in there.
