Gateway Film Center: Time to Get the Heebie Jeebies!

Heebie Jeebie is Gateway Film Center’s Halloween Family Film Festival with just the right spookiness for the littles in your house! I cannot wait to take my kiddies down for a little creepy viewing…maybe we’ll even take home a ghost…  Here’s the skinny and a little more:

Gateway will show a family favorite Halloween-themed movie each week in October. Kids will get a goodie bag complete with some materials to do a craft at home. Kids can learn to make the craft by following a YouTube video starring the crazy, whacky and always fun Johnny DiLoretto!

This week they are showing The Witches (10/3-10/9);  Wallace and Gromit – The Curse of the Were-Rabbit 10/10-10/16); The Addams Family (10/17-23); and E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial (10/24-10/31). Each movie has multiple showtimes throughout the week of its run.

Check out Gateway’s website for showtimes: www.gatewayfilmcenter.com.

The fun does not end there! Mark your calendars for HOOT, on Saturday Oct. 25th — this one will be a big, full-on Halloween party with cartoons on the big screen and live music by The Shazzbots. Perhaps that costume can get one more wear?

If you go, make it an afternoon because lots of other stuff is happening that day:

– An autumnal farmer’s market in the South Campus Gateway Alley including local vendors, farm fresh autumn foods, music, and performers
– A Gateway Film Center family friendly haunted house in the Lounge
– A photo station in the lobby
HOOT is always free with a non-perishable food donation that benefits the Open Shelter.
