Make-A-Wish OKI (Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana) needs our support, Central Ohio! They are a finalist in the “Tip the Hat Award” campaign with an opportunity to win a $125,000 grant. The funding will enable them to keep giving heartfelt wishes to children battling life-threatening medical conditions. All you have to do to help is vote with a “click!”

Currently, there are 140 children in central Ohio waiting for their wish to come true and you can help by voting for them today. Vote here – it literally takes a second: www.lidsfoundation.org/2015voting.

More about Make-A-Wish OKI (Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana): This chapter covers three states and is the largest Make-A-Wish chapter in the country. Last fiscal year, they granted 823 wishes –  130 in central Ohio, alone. Typically, wishes fall under one of five categories:

I wish to go…

I wish to have…

I wish to be…

I wish to meet…

I wish to give…

The Make-A-Wish foundation recently fulfilled Alex’s wish to attend the NHL All-Star Game here in Columbus, Ohio. Alex, was born premature and is fighting a life-threatening neurological condition. He is a quadriplegic and non-verbal. But Alex finds joy in hockey, so his wish was one that Make-A-Wish was happy to fulfill.  Granting wishes brings hope, strength, and joy back to a kids life by making their own dream or goal come true. It’s great to see how our team and community rallied to make this wish special for Alex and his family. For the full story about Alex check out this article.
